Subject: DropCheck 1.2.3 (final) Date: Mon, 15 Jul 1991 14:06:12 +0200 From: Ronald Queloz ************************************************************************ ATTENTION: this version replaces the version which has been posted on 7/11/91. The posted version was not intended to be published. Sorry! ************************************************************************ Here is a cdev/INIT combo to monitor up to four folders. It is based on the ideas of FolderCheck (I don't remember the author). You can use this "tool" to watch your drop folders on an AppleShare volume, as a work reminder, as a virus tool, ..... Summary: You can activate up to four folders (anywhere, local on your harddisk or on the network). You set the number of files, which reside in these folders. Then as soon as there are new items dropped inside the activated folders, you'll get a notification. DropCheck requires at least System 6.0.5 and is System 7.0 compatible. I've tested DropCheck on the following machines: Mac IIsi, Mac II, Mac IIx, Mac IIcx, Mac IIfx. DropCheck doesn't work on a Mac Plus (crash!). At the moment there is no help function implemented and there is no documentation available (I work on it!). But I think, there should be no problems with the user interface, it's quite simple! This software is GourmetWare, if you like it, send me some specialities of your region. You may distribute this software as long you do not modify it. Please give DropCheck to any Mac user you know!
